Why do you think financial literacy isn’t taught in schools?
@DividendNewbie Bcos they want us to be “financially responsible”
@DividendNewbie I had a math class in college, Math 117, which was considered an alternate math route for those that didn't need it. Math 115 was calculus; 117 was calculating interest in cars and homes. I picked that because it seemed useful, but it was looked down on.
@DividendNewbie Hell does it matter, we are graduating 18 year olds that can barely read or write and forget about math so what good would it do to "teach" them finance, it would be just one more subject that they would fail No disrespect for teachers, but our schools SUCK now
@DividendNewbie Because it would be taught by people who aren't financially literate
@DividendNewbie If the teacher was a good investor, they’d be too rich to teach
