@tragicbirdapp hard to tell if any of this matters. racism by african americans is irrelevant. as a social class they have no power to act on it. it's just mean words and sometimes isolated instances of violence. asian americans are few, and even fewer control institutions
@pearly_sinner @tragicbirdapp What would “acting on it” entail?
@Dixon_Diaz420 @tragicbirdapp many different things. from keeping the members of a minority groups from needed resources (e.g african americans being denied education, housing and work etc...) to genocide, as in the case of native Americans by white settlers.
@pearly_sinner @Dixon_Diaz420 @tragicbirdapp A white individual cannot deny a black person an education.. or a house.. or work any differently than a black person can deny a white person those things
@Iemonyhaze @Dixon_Diaz420 @tragicbirdapp no black person cares abt being liked by individual white people. but since white americans hold positions of power or control in almost all the relevant institutions, prejudice among white americans is immeasurably more dangerous than that within minority groups.
@pearly_sinner @Iemonyhaze @tragicbirdapp Black girl says a racial slur, and you’re here to tell us why it’s ok, and that you hate white people. Got it.
