The Council is consulting on the impact of the closure of Bucksburn Swimming Pool on the community and in particular any impacts related to protected characteristics. The consultation closes on November 6. orlo.uk/pTZp0

I’m not sure why @AberdeenCC has deleted its post announcing the Bucksburn Pool consultation and impact assessment. But you can find it here: aberdeencity.gov.uk/services/leisu… If you want to @SaveBucksPool please respond. 🙏 Make @Sportaberdeen and @AberdeenCC hear how it’s affected you.

And... Our recap of today's council meeting about the closures' continuing legal fallout, which took place as it emerged QR codes on posters advertising the survey don't work. pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/news/aberde…

Our guide to the new Aberdeen libraries consultation, with why it's happening and how to take part - pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/news/aberde…

It is becoming clear that @AberdeenCC SNP council are trying to run away from their responsibilities. They passed a budget that closed 6 libraries and a pool they must now be held to account. Silence from @Christia_Allard unacceptable SNP must call for review into their actions

I have written to Audit Scotland regarding the library and pool closures. This cannot be swept under the carpet. pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/news/aberde…

Today I asked @scotgov when it will pass on the funding the UK Govt has provided to help save swimming pools like the one in Bucksburn. The minister's response? Act as if the UK Govt weren't providing support for pools. What a disgrace!

I am supporting the Save Bucksburn Pool campaign @SaveBucksPool with this Parliamentary Motion. They are continuing their fight, as Aberdeen city council vote on @AberdeenLabour motions to ensure the pool its future. It is a vital community asset, important to see it continue.

Campaigners from @SaveAbdnLibs and @SaveBucksPool would like to hear from those in #Aberdeen who have been personally impacted by the #library and swimming pool closures, and who are likely to qualify for legal aid. More info👇👇 Please email [email protected]

Petition: Recognise the value of swimming pools and provide financial relief to help keep pools open petitions.parliament.scot/petitions/PE20…

Cornhill, Cults, Ferryhill, Kaimhill, Northfield, and Woodside Libraries. Some survived the Second World War. All survived the Coronavirus Pandemic. None survived the short-sightedness of the @AberdeenSNP and the @AberdeenLibDems. These closures are simply shameful.

Last week, I spoke to 90-year-old Rosemary whose local library closed forever yesterday. Link: bit.ly/3G35J2O Today I met 91-year-old Kathleen who soon won't be able to go swimming. She's worried about what will happen to her health. Link: bit.ly/3KfS4Io

'We are still making noise. We are not going to take that answer from Monday. We are going to keep fighting.' Kirsty Fraser and @SaveBucksPool have been inspirational throughout this fight. @AberdeenSNP - you shouldn't have messed with Bucksburn. pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/news/aberde…

Looking forward to spreading the #SaveOurPools message @ScotParl tomorrow with @ScottishSwim So important to deliver the key messages to those that can help influence our young peoples futures in aquatics!
