@CFBStop24 A 'Protect Saturdays' alternative that appeases BOTH SIDES....

@ClayTravis Easily... see below for a MUCH better "solution"

@KySportsRadio Eliminate the BYES and we have a perfect system.... NOT the insanity 24-team rubbish being shoved down our collective throats.

@TTU_Ty Fixed it for you.

@ESisson7 Hey wall, see this suggestion that keeps rivalry week, conference titles AND bowls... and may I mention ALL Saturday games and schedule done before the NFL playoffs...

@CFBStop24 Fixed it for them...

@coenbroscowpoke Two years: bye teams are 1-7 in their first game. That’s the bye: you sit cold for a week while your opponent wins a playoff game and shows up sharp, rolling and HOT The 24 makes 16 teams play five rounds. 16 with no byes: four rounds for everyone, and the 1 still draws the 16

@coenbroscowpoke Your whole point was incentives late in the season. 24 kills them: 19 at-larges means a 10-2 team is in no matter what. 16 keeps rivalry week and conf title games as real elimination games. By your own logic, mine’s better.

@stoolpresidente Fixed it for these donkeys, pay me later.

@On3 Fixed it for you

@coenbroscowpoke Fair, your calendar fixes the rust. But non-bye teams play up to 17 games, with playoff games during finals. And the Big Ten and SEC aren’t killing their title games, those are money printers. Fun bracket, but mine could actually happen IMO, yours cannot

@coenbroscowpoke 8 games is small, fair. But 1-7 is the only data anyone has, and ‘byes are fine’ is resting on one Indiana team. Your model: byes after Thanksgiving, round of 16 mid-Dec. That’s conference title weekend, and it’s a 24-team field. Want rivalry week to matter? Don’t let 8-4 in lol

@jdpickell Fixed it, you all are very welcome

@DuragRebel Fixed it... pay me later

@CollegeGameDay Hire him as an analyst and replace the talking heads -- while you're at it FIX THIS from the insane 24 proposal... thank me later

@briancrice Hire him and while you're at it ditch the insane 24 idea for this... thank me later

@coenbroscowpoke It’s not one year. Bye teams are 1-7 in CFP quarterfinals. Indiana’s literally the only one to win. 2024 champ was an 8 seed. Rivalry week rest? Name one team that’s done it. Seeds 5-8 host home playoff games and nobody’s ever locked in. That’s your incentive, minus the month off

@coenbroscowpoke @coenbroscowpoke Byes ARE the problem, not the fix. All four bye teams lost their opener in the 2024 CFP. No byes and seeding still matters: the 1 draws the 16. Same 17-game max as today, and it'd be done before NFL Wild Card weekend, every round on a Saturday.

The playoff college football SHOULD have. 16-teams, no byes, top five conference champs auto-bid. Seeded by simulated BCS standings, polls plus five computers. Shoutout to @BCSKnowHow. Boise State in at 16 as Pac-12 champ. First four out: USC, LSU, Wake, Texas.
