How do FRC and others regulatory authorities of fees function when the annual fee for studying MBBS in government institutions becomes ₹11.23 lakh? Who is responsible for transparency, accountability, and affordability in medical education?

Fees for an MBBS degree at SMC amount to ₹11.23 lakh per annum, whereas fees at AMC amount to ₹9.30 lakh per annum. How can such fees be charged for medical education when the institutions are managed by municipal corporations?

The latest in Gujarat's older government medical colleges was founded in 1995 (Bhavnagar). Since that time, private and PPP colleges have come up. The government needs to increase investment in public medical education. #MedicalEducation

Such practices raise grave concerns regarding qualifications, supervision, and adherence to ICU standards. The safety of the patients should never be compromised for such cost-saving measures

@theliverdoc @moayush @ccrhindia It is an issue in Surat, Gujarat where hospitals have reportedly used AYUSH professionals in the ICUs. @MoHFW_INDIA @NMC_IND have to investigate if all the norms and qualifications are maintained. Patient safety should be considered above all.

My concern is also about the reel, which appears carefully shot and planned for publicity. Medical achievements deserve recognition, but transparency about qualifications matters too.
