Every year, I do my taxes and wonder how there aren't mass riots spilling out onto the streets across this hollowed out country. Then, I remember the amount of government welfare, federal employment, and the general subservience of the populace. I'd like to think people are waking up, but I've come to realize that it will ultimately come down to the intransigent minority to push for radical change. It always does. This time, we the people, have bitcoin.
@DrBitcoinMD The people with “nothing to lose” (potential revolutionaries) are placated by welfare. The people with something to lose (won’t revolt) are the ones paying taxes.
@DrBitcoinMD THE TINY MINORITY OF PEOPLE WHO PAY THE HIGHEST SHARE OF TAXES AREN’T ENOUGH TO RALLY A CHANGE INTO EXISTING.
@DrBitcoinMD Most likely outcome is people move to places that have no capital gains tax. IMO…
@DrBitcoinMD most taxes are withheld from paycheck, so people file taxes to get a "refund".
