The question "What would (fictional character I respect/identify with) do in this situation?" has been WAY more useful to me in triggering situations than, like, a good 50% of anything I've ever heard from a mental health professional. Don't be afraid to think outside the box.

@DrDoyleSays This is why we furries have "fursonas". My character is a fictional stand in for me, but she is smarter, kinder and stronger. She's who I want to be and that really does help me get through tough situations!
@DrDoyleSays I was a cab driver for a year and a half, and I got through the first scary month by pretending to be my best friend, stay a cabbie. I just kept asking, what would she do? And then I did that.
