Still trying to process my emotions on learning that @twitter blacklisted me. The thought that will keep me up tonight: censorship of scientific discussion permitted policies like school closures & a generation of children were hurt. 1/2
I'm curious about what role the government played in Twitter's suppression of covid policy discussion. We will see with time, I suppose. Thank you @bariweiss and @elonmusk. Sunshine is the best disinfectant. 2/2
@DrJBhattacharya @SeanTrende @twitter You can feel better since no one "blacklisted" you, clown.
@DrJBhattacharya @twitter Your views were heard at the absolutely highest levels of power. You and your colleagues have had access and influence to policy that most people could only dream of. I don't think you have anything to worry about on that front.
@DrJBhattacharya @twitter We all knew politically-motivated media censorship was occurring on a massive scale in our hearts. Seeing it in black and white though is still shocking to our minds. It will take time - maybe a lifetime - to work through the harm that was done by oppressing dissenting voices.
@DrJBhattacharya @twitter Look at it this way… your were blacklisted and I still found you and @MartinKulldorff . You changed my mind, made me think! Hidden but not accessible. Took those ideas and encouraged debate, to the point I was brought into meeting with my employer. Timer proved you right!
@DrJBhattacharya @twitter Jay, Twitter blacklisted my 2009 account too, and they won’t reverse it — a medical librarian for my life. It feels like fascism. So sorry it happened to you! @elonmusk
@DrJBhattacharya @twitter I lost a job I loved. Something I worked for since I was 15, but I still feel guilty. I feel like I should have done more. The destruction is so vast. How do we ever reconcile all of the injustice?
@DrJBhattacharya @twitter Keep clutching your pearls. Your response to a pandemic that killed millions is to do nothing.
