Recorded COVID case numbers bear little resemblance to reality; most people aren’t self-reporting, and PCRs are hard to access. We’re in an ongoing surge with increasing hospitalisations and deaths without a proactive plan at the state or federal level. theage.com.au/national/victo…
@Mon4Kooyong Actually I think the State plan is to build more and more hospitals and desperately try and recruit more healthcare workers into a failing system. Repair care model. Like buying more buckets to stop the flooding on the Titanic 🤦♂️
@DrShaneRRR @Mon4Kooyong I've been saying since March 2020, we should have reverted back to War-time nursing. It would have addressed many of the problems & supported our existing nurses. So many forget Nursing never use to be a Uni degree. You learned on the job.
@DrShaneRRR @Mon4Kooyong Also does absolutely nothing to address the current crisis, if anything its just lip service.
@DrShaneRRR @Mon4Kooyong Not a word on how these buildings will be constructed to be pandemic proof. To me, they look like shiny new boxes to place the broken system in.
@DrShaneRRR @Mon4Kooyong Capitalism folks, ever wonder why people hate socialism but can't explain how it works? Because Conservatives own most news communications as you've likely all noticed by now. (cough, Herald Sun, Ch9 + more) Profits over people, propaganda isn't just a relic from the 40's.
@DrShaneRRR @Mon4Kooyong They really only have one or two strategies for 'solving' problems. They use the same strategies for most issues. (E.g. (NSW) We can't get enough teachers, so let's create a bank of lesson plans so teachers' can save time by using them.) 1/
@DrShaneRRR @Mon4Kooyong And send teachers into the teaching trenches. Students must attend school to free their parents to function as economic units. I’m reminded of those who interpreted the environmental disaster of the Exxon Valdez as an economic win. Lots of economic activity after an oil spill.
