#Unity #fantasy I have decided to further work on the combat, as that is probably the most important part of the gameplay experience. However, I have also started work on basic UI elements. Like a World Map, and the ability to switch what you are holding. youtu.be/UD9MyBI2xS8

Combat works fully now. The enemy can attack me, and deal damage to the player. (they do damage in the code; I don't currently have damage indicator yet). Here is also first look at one of the caves you will find out in the open world. youtube.com/watch?v=YCtU9a…

it works! Finally, I was able to get the enemy to attack me, and it registers hits in the code, so all I need to do is add some health (which is mostly set up already) and the combat basics are finished. I still need to adjust the attack animation speed but that won't take long.

Working on Combat. Programming isn't my strong suit so it's taking longer than I would like but it is slowly getting done. I am currently working on Enemy attacking the player. And yes, the skeleton will have a death animation. #unity #RPG #fantasy

Currently reworking the player movement system. The one it had previously did not feel good to play at all with a lot of issues. For example, on any sloped surface, the player would just slide down it. That is no longer the case.

At the end of a long day, I have made a lot of progress on this town. I can easily create the town walls using a tile system. Adding towns will be a lot quickly and easier. This is still early development. Tomorrow I am gonna start working on the various buildings around town.
