In March I received a lovely email from Drapers' Company asking me to nominate a pupil for a 'Young Londoners High Sheriff Award'. The award was to recognise a pupil who had shown the London High Sheriff's values by their actions and behaviours. draperspyrgo.com/54/latest-news…
“Over and Above” those children who have been consistently going “over and above” each week. Pupils were invited to attend Hot Chocolate Friday #HotChocFri which is the opportunity to share a hot chocolate, biscuit and a chat with Mrs Fisk.
Reception had a go at Forest School art this week. We collected leaves and a few flowers and placed between on a folded piece of cloth before bashing the cloth with a mallet. The pigment from leaves and flowers made interesting patterns.
Nursery has been using their imagination when creating with junk box modelling resources. They used various shapes and sizes of boxes and made a boat and a ship, a monster with a big nose and a tiny mouse to accompany our nursery rhymes.

Year 3 visited St. Pauls church to learn about the Easter Story. They also had a tour of the church, asked questions and Dennis even won and easter egg!
The Book Fair is being held in the hall this week from 3.15 pm - 4 pm, and also during parents' evening.
Pyrgo's boys' football team played a thrilling match against Hogarth Primary School. Despite taking the lead, they were unable to hold on, eventually losing 2 - 1. A great effort boys, well done!

Reception enjoyed a Forest School session in the rain this week. We chose our Forest School names, explored a shelter and were visited by a curious worm.
Easter Holiday Activities
Our Year Six children discovered more about World War Two during their recent trip to The Imperial War Museum, Duxford.

In Year 5 we explored which materials are the best thermal insulators. Using ice lollies we tested materials to see which would keep them coldest the longest.
Pyrgo Girls win 6 - 2! Pyrgo's talented girls' football team played a match against Hogarth Primary School. It was a fantastic match played in a brilliant spirit of sportsmanship by both sides.
