The one bit of sunshine at the campsite on Friday 😆 It was good to get away, I've only had 2 weekends off this year and the next 3 months are booked solid, so it was worth getting soaked just to be in the hills for a day.

Eeeep! The Bellwether Gallery in the Northumberland National Park are now selling my mini prints :) They have a tearoom in their gorgeous building and I highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

Unexpectedly entertaining trip out- the park appears to be inhabited by a particularly large Barghest (no I didn't draw that on there), is accessed by passing under a pelvis gate (called Hare's Hips) and the 'child's view' board, unreadable under moss, was wonderfully Scarfolk

This weekend is all commission work for me, so I thought I'd do you a Seraphim update 📷 The process with this one is a unusual, in that I had to start adding in the light from the burning wings on the left so I could be sure where and how to fill in the buildings on the right.

It's taken me 6 months to find which folder I'd 'organised' this photo (from 2 years back) into on my laptop 🤣 The Tyne Bridge reflected in multiple droplets, one of the images that inspired me to create this series of reflection drawings and next on the easel.

Hey 🙂 As promised, time lapse of the beech tree droplet drawing. In this one you can see me using different charcoal pencils to apply various intensities of black, a rubber blending tool where the weight of the water is distorting the reflection, and a paper stubby on the fern.
