We will continue to find older and younger than expected galaxies because self referential systems are internally consistent. Predictions of relativity are consistent within the framework of relativity. Time dilation is not discovered but an obvious artefact of treating c as k.

Truth is valuable for many reasons. Primarily, it facilitates prediction. Prediction in turn facilitates problem solving. Without truth tendency towards order (progression) is impossible.

Physics is concerned with the pursuit of determination of the nature of a quantifiable real and observable universe. Theoretical physics and quantum mechanics are concerned with abstract ontological constructs, they are something, but they are not physics.
