The reception children have been enjoying the water play without getting soaked! Thank you so much to @willowspta for buying ten raincoats and waterproof trousers. @TheAntsClass
If you have any big or small boxes at home that you are about to recycle Ducklings and @TheAntsClass would really appreciate them.
Do you have any shoe boxes, old white or pale blue sheets or blankets at home that you could donate for our role play? We also need old newspapers. @TheAntsClass
We found out that the mess this morning was made by the Little Red Hen. She had tried to make some bread for us but got in a bit of a muddle! Luckily, Mrs Sinclair and Mrs Howlett came to the rescue and taught the children how to make bread rolls this morning.

If you haven't already ordered your child's Christmas card and would like to, orders need to be placed online and original pictures returned to school by Thursday 21st October.
Tomorrow is pyjama day for Ducklings. Please make sure that your child comes to school in sensible shoes and a warm coat. They will still be learning in the outdoor classroom.
Does anybody have any golf tees that they could donate to Ducklings and Ants Classes? We searched our classrooms this morning but can't find the ones we bought last year!
In Maths this week we have been learning about repeating patterns. Yesterday, we made our own repeating pattern fruit kebabs.
Yesterday, we talked about the importance of looking after our teeth. We learnt about how to clean our teeth properly. Olivia was able to tell the rest of the class about how disclosing tablets help you to clean your teeth properly too! Wow, well done Olivia!
Some transient art in class this week: making bears faces using natural materials. We also set up a potion making water play in response to some of the children pretending to make their own potions in the role play area.

The children have brought home a picture reading book this week and a library book. Please sign their diaries each day to let us know they have been sharing these books at home. Books will be changed on Mondays.
We have been so impressed this week with how well the reception children have coped with being back to zoom lessons. Here is some of their wonderful work based on the story, Billy's Bucket.
