I keep hearing that Patrick Mahomes has never played in a postseason game on the road. While that’s technically true, Super Bowl 55 was played in the Buccaneers home stadium. While not a capacity crowd, it’s a huge advantage for a team to not have to travel. #NFLPlayoffs

Have the #Mets stated that they’re done signing SP? I’m reading that SF is the favorite to sign Shōta Imanaga, but he could fit nicely in a Mets 6-man rotation. Last year Senga pitched on 5 days rest almost exclusively. #Imanaga would be making the same transition.

Kenny had two things go against him: he changed teams too often (always helps when a single fan base campaigns for a guy such as with Ron Santo and Todd Helton). And he was a casualty of 2013, the year many writers submitted blank ballots to protest PEDs. His numbers scream HOF.

Gold Glove is a flawed award to begin with. But Dominic Smith should at the very least have been a finalist for NL 1B. I’ve yet to see a metric quantifying 1st basemen saving errant throws from infielders. Dom played a huge role in CJ Abrams development at SS. #mlb #snubbed

The best way for the #Mets to become a winning team in 2024 is to build a super bullpen. Don't spend $30M+ on a SP that goes maybe 6 innings every 5th day. Grab a journeyman SP, sign a legit middle of the order bat to DH, and surround Diaz with Robertson & other elite RPs.

22 wins, 209 IP, 2.76 ERA, 1.196 WHIP. Sound like a very good year for a SP? These are the combined stats of the 1986 #Mets closer tandem of Orosco & McDowell. (43 saves) Surprising no modern team (like Tampa) has tried this approach, L/R flexibility & multi-inning saves.

Can I just say how absurd it is to have expanded the postseason to 3 wild cards, but keep the trade deadline at the end of July? Especially with no more waiver deals going to 8/31, it would help to define buyers/sellers if they moved the deadline back to 8/15. #mlb
