This is always such a weird argument because the answer is "some of you didn't though"

@DylPar252 Had an older middle-aged guy in one of my hapkido classes be like “I grew up around lead paint and I’m fine” and I had to think “you know, [redacted], lead causes alterations to mental development, I’m not sure you did turn out Ok”
@DylPar252 Probably there should be some happy medium between kids without helmets and parents who are constantly protecting them from life.
@DylPar252 I doubt the ability to play alone outside and venture miles away until dark really lead to a significantly greater level of injury or death. That sort of freedom and independence is a tangible, important loss.
@DylPar252 Neither did some of the generations WITH all of that protective gear. Your point? I'm not saying the advancements and safety precautions are bad, just that they came with a trade-off of bigger egos and having less sense of consequences for your actions.
