Someone asked me recently what I would choose to work on if I had a guaranteed salary. Answer: I would want to be a stay-at-home mom who builds educational, ML-enabled, personalized science and math software for my kids–& then open-sources it, to share with everyone else's. 📚

it is a tiny dream, but my favorite one (and the one I hope for hardest)
@DynamicWebPaige Find a way to robotically grow oranges in February in Chicago 🍊🤖
@DynamicWebPaige Oh wow I forgot about gizmos and gadgets!
@DynamicWebPaige Why not work towards that dream? I’ve been slowly designing something like that for math, physics, and CS. Glad to share what I have - it’s good to have some 10 year goals.
@DynamicWebPaige Don't make my mistake and structure it as a non-profit. Make it a proper business, raise money, release it and charge other companies to license it. Keep it free or close to free for end users and you'll achieve both goals.
@DynamicWebPaige Are there any companies working on that now, or is there room for a new one?
@DynamicWebPaige not many pursuits are more noble than that. i would likely pick something similar except stay-at-home dad. would like to blend XR with the personalized ML education systems. end up somewhere near the primer from Diamond Age.
@DynamicWebPaige Absolutely amazing, @DynamicWebPaige! 🤩 💐 🌟
@DynamicWebPaige I hope you find a way to do this. @synthesischool @chrismanfrank may be interested
@DynamicWebPaige Rocket would be my last bucket list before retire. I have done gaming, GPU design, camera, self driving car. Rocket is the last frontier I haven’t tried. Also Starbase has school for kids from employees.
