What does your school have planned for the eclipse today? Our principal gave us some resources to use to teach about it, but the kids aren’t getting glasses.
@EDUwithEmily Our school has invited parents to participate in an eclipse watch. The middle school science teacher and fmr science teacher teamed up and trained 8th graders to be Eclipse Ambassadors. This is what great public elementary schools do!
@EDUwithEmily We were in totality and our district gave everyone glasses and we changed our schedule to give everyone 45 minutes to watch the eclipse on the football field!
@EDUwithEmily Forced to Stay indoors. We were there the whole day. Then last minute, our school said they had some glasses, but not for all. So only 3-5 got to go outside; pk-2 had to be inside. My 2nd graders enjoyed seeing everyone else have fun outside tho! So I'm sure that's a plus
@EDUwithEmily I’m in central NJ, so 90% coverage. We had a normal schedule, no outdoor recess after 2 pm. The bulk of the eclipse was around dismissal time, so a LOT of parents picked up early (like over 50%!)
@EDUwithEmily We had 50 minutes (6th period) to go out, school provided glasses, it was fun
