@DavidMadisonPhD You’re argument falls apart when it is found that there IS rational cause to believe in God. “The Case for Christ” by Lee Strobel, is a good place to start.

#WIPjoy D22: Protection Well, quite honestly, God comes to mind first, but God isn’t exactly a character. So one of mine...um...😬...all my characters are sort of broken and need protecting...but I’d go with Maddison. She’s starts in a rough place, but she has an innner warrior.

#WIPjoy D20: Advice That has helped me persevere. Once I read a #terribleminds post about how when you’re writing don’t worry about editing. In the draft phase you’re like a Godzilla or something tearing through the city and smashing things. Or at least that’s what I got from it

#WIPjoy D17: Stubborn Characters One example I can think of is for another WIP I have where the MC, Alex, makes a choice at the end that I was not expecting. However, he sort of opened the way for book 2, so can’t be too mad at him 😉

#WIPjoy D16 I tend to stall a bit after I’ve left my WIP for awhile for some reason and then come back to it. It can be hard to get back into the swing of the story.

#WIPjoy D9&10 I write what I think God puts on my heart. Sometimes a story unfolds like a movie, other times it’s in bits & pieces. As for characters who’d die for each other, Ollie (from my WIP) would very much die for Carol. But sometimes the opportunity isn’t always given.

#WIPjoy D7/8: Coffee Shop I think Ollie would be one of these people who likes hot syrup with a little bit of coffee in it 😁 Carol would go for a bitter coffee, and she might slip some whisky in it when no one is looking. & I would go for a simple dark roast ☕️

#WIPjoy D5&6 Habit I’d like to change is maybe getting up when my alarm actually goes off, instead of getting out of bed, turning it off, and laying down for ten minutes 😇 & creature comforts would be coffee & chocolate 😋

@Fencingwithink Yes, serious. Glad you like it, though. 😁 I wasn’t sure about posting it.

#WIPjoy D3: Pardon the swearing, but I feel like these lines describe Ollie, at least in part.

#WIPjoy D3: I relate to Barry Allen’s (the Flash) weakness of always being late. I’m not late all the time, and usually only a minute or two, sometimes longer. But I really have to focus sometimes to be on time.

@authorBABrazell I’m the same way. I like to write the story and not the genre. Though I do notice similarities in the style of stories I write.

#WIPjoy D1: Hello 😀 I’m Emily Howitt. I’m a Christian and I’ve wanted to be a writer since the summer going into tenth grade. My current WIP is called Borderline and is sort of a coming of age story. It contains: Christians, domestic abuse, murder, drugs, love & hope.

I’m thinking of jumping back into social media/blogging. My participation has been sporadic. But how do I stay on track? I want to write for God, but how to ignore the likes/RTs/views, & just write? Create for the sake of creating? Perhaps I simply remember who I write for. God.
