For a city that has been described over the past few months as dead and deserted, New York City was more alive than I’ve seen in a long time today.
No line outside of Trader Joe’s if you need groceries before they close at 5pm today. 🟢🟢
TJs has a bit of a line too. Looks like it’s moving, but goes back to Akina Sushi. 🟡
There’s a significant line outside of Target right now. Longer than I’ve seen in a while. 🟡

Update on hours for June 3: Target is expecting to close “around 4pm” Trader Joe’s will be closing at 5pm.
TJs is closing in about an hour and a half, and a significant line has formed outside. 🟡
Notice: Trader Joe’s East Village is closing at 5PM tonight.
Just got off the phone with someone from Target. They plan on being closed until further notice. 🔴🔴
Target is closed for the evening and has boarded up their windows. They plan on opening at their normal hours tomorrow. 🔴
There is a bit of a line outside of the TJs.. about 20 people or so. The store is closing at 6pm tonight, so this may be the norm this evening. 🟡🟢
Update on hours for Monday, June 1: Target will be closing at 4:30PM today. Trader Joe’s is still closing at 6PM tonight.
