They are the first pieces of evidence that the Prime Minister was directly involved in decisions that favoured Abu Dhabi

The fact that gastroenterologists won't even think about doing a colonoscopy(where they are just navigating a flexible scope through tissue) without offering conscious sedation or twilight sleep, while gynecologists routinely punch out pieces of a living, nerve-dense organ while a woman is wide awake with two Tylenol or some Ibuprofen in her system, is a massive, systemic failure of modern medicine...
It’s funny that this is presumably meant to appeal to football fans, yet every matchgoing fan I’ve seen is against it because they don’t fancy getting drenched by some bloke launching his pint for a TikTok.
🚨 NEW: Andy Burnham is set to scrap the law that bans football fans from drinking in the stands
"I don’t see how it can be fair that some supporters of one sport can be treated differently"
🚨🚨| JUST IN: UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham wants to overturn the 𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐑 𝐁𝐀𝐍 in football stands, calling it "wrong" — fans have been unable to drink in seats since 1985. 🍺🏴

Suffering a bereavement or the loss of a pregnancy is one of the most painful experiences a family can go through.
But for too long, people have had to fight for the opportunity to grieve.
Today, Labour’s changing things - with new legal rights to allow you to take the time you need to deal with loss.
It’s estimated that one in five women in the UK will experience a miscarriage in their lifetime.
But if you lose a pregnancy before 24 weeks, there is currently no legal right to bereavement leave.
I don’t think that’s right.
Losing a pregnancy can be devastating. You and your partner shouldn’t have to worry about going straight back to work.
So we’re changing the law.
From April, women and their partners will be entitled to two weeks off after any pregnancy loss.
And we’re making wider changes, with new rights to time off when you lose someone you love.
When you’re grieving, you deserve the time and space to do that.
Jehovah’s Witness governing body has retracted the doctrine of not receiving blood transfusions. So many people have died because of this ill informed belief and now I can almost guarantee that someone high up in that governing body was on the brink of death and this is what made them change it.
i think what makes these two posters look so powerful is the fact that all the Capitol side are such established elite actors IRL, with Oscars, Emmys, and Tonys nominations and wins, while the tributes side is mostly made up of younger rising actors. like the contrast is so clear
Doing my annual sexual harassment training reminds me back to the time I took a cultural sensitivity training, and in the first minute they said "for example, participants watching the video in another browser tab on mute, for performative compliance, is a microaggression."
Women, the reason you can have a credit card in your own name and don’t need a man’s signature to open a bank account is because of Gloria Steinem. RIP to this queen.
