Phone the hairdresser and find it fully booked you think "they must be really popular they're so busy"
Phone the GP and find it fully booked you think "they're lazy and mustn't be working"
That's how the media and politicians have spun the public against their GPs

If you use less skilled workforce to replace more skilled workforce then this happens:
1) worse outcomes
2) increased appointments and activity
3) increased waiting lists
4) costing the tax payer far more
If this sounds perverse and idiotic - then you need to do something…

“Consultant Practitioner in Emergency Medicine.”
Is this an actual job title?

An elderly relative of mine has been trying to get a GP appointment. After being put repeatedly on hold and going through a rigmarole of automated options, he was eventually told that the first available GP appointment is in 5 weeks. This is unacceptable. We are paying the…
So my standing up for doctors is starting to bite.
At a conference. Several longstanding colleagues couldn't bring themselves to say hello. Evils from one. Another shouted in my face.

When a Consultant Radiographer is appointed as Director of Breast Screening, we must ask: What happened to medical accountability in the NHS?
@ExplosiveEnema2@RCRadiologists Let’s list specialties where you no longer need Medical training
1)Emergency Medicine-@RCollEM are leaders in Dr substitution
2) General Practice-@rcgp woke up a bit late
3) Psychiatry-Any AHP can be“RC” supported by @rcpsych
4) Radiology- @RCRadiologists r u on board with this?
You no longer need medical training to work as a Consultant Radiologist
We really need incredibly strong voices from the very top of @RCRadiologists condemning this
Heck, if a Trust can't differentiate between Radiologist & Radiographer they should have their trainees removed

Hospital teams and ICBs call it ‘Shared Care.’
What it really means is GPs carrying all the risk with little to no resource.
