Cooooooool! I just learned that a stereotype was a printing plate used to create multiple versions of the same design. Printers heard a clicking sound during this process, which gave birth to the onomatopoeic French word "cliché".

The word 'alphabet' comes from the names of the first letters in the Greek alphabet, alpha and beta. Some other names for writing systems follow the same pattern: abugida comes from 'ä, bu, gi, and da; abecedary is from a, b, c, d; and Abjad is from the Arabic a, b, j, and d.

Another fun fact about me: I'm a twin! It has been reported that up to 50% of young twins will have their own twin language which they use to communicate only with each other and cannot be understood by others. This is called 'cryptophasia'. Cool!
