These stats are shocking. The rate of stillbirths among Alberta women aged 15-19 QUADRIPLED from 2012 to 2023, are twice as high for age 20-24. It's partly due to a syphilis outbreak, with cases rising from 128 in 2012 to 3,326 in 2022 westernwheel.ca/local-news/ste… #ableg #cdnpoli
@EmmaLGraney Did it triple or quadruple?
@EmmaLGraney JFC public health please!!!!
@EmmaLGraney 2/ I have also seen them put off seeing a doctor because of the hassle. My son has a mole that needs to be looked at, and if he had a family doc, it would have been looked at a long time ago. So yes, I think health issue get put to the side if they don't have a family doctor.
@EmmaLGraney unbelievable.....yet, nope, let's not educate our youth about sex and STD's
@EmmaLGraney Was there a large rollout of another medical treatment recently, that affected a few more ladies than just 3,326, in the 2022 example?
@EmmaLGraney How many Albertan women are having children at 15?? Yikes.
@EmmaLGraney Our provincial public healthcare is non-existent. This is inexcusable, Alberta. @UCPCaucus
