Our engines are running in glorious steam again this Sunday 21st September. Our Roberts engine runs at its full design speed, an awesome sight indeed. We run our engines from 13.00 until 15.30. Cafe will be selling tea and cakes as usual. That's Sunday sorted then!

Sometimes, engineering can be a thing of beauty as this manufacturers plate shows. Brown and Pickles were millwrights that looked after our Roberts engine back in the day. We also love the beauty of both our engines, which will be in steam on Sunday 6th April at 13.00.

The Roberts Engines' winter covers were removed today in preparation for our FIRST STEAMING OF 2025 on Sunday 16th March. We would love to see all our supporters and friends for a catch-up. Engines run at 13.00 and cafe with excellent cake as usual.

Our water treatment system is now installed in the cellar under the engine. One of our volunteers, Tony, designed and installed the system, which will separate any oil from the engines waste steam condensate before returning this water back to the boiler.

The Cornish boiler gets its annual safety check. Its pressure gauge will be checked against the inspectors master gauge for accuracy. It was OK.

Our steaming on the 3rd November will include folk music with a textile/industrial heritage theme, featuring Sid Calderbank and Friends. Both engines run at intervals from 13.00 along with weaving demonstrations. Cafe and excellent cake as usual. We open from 11.00.
