@SDexyt Can't remember lol. Just check the changelog on Modrinth
I'm happy to announce that the Photonic Raytracing Engine Mod is now publicly available on Modrinth. Make sure to install all the required Mods and have an Skybox Resource Pack enabled! #minecraft #raytracing #rtx #java #opengl #glsl #graphics #mods modrinth.com/mod/photonics
@SDexyt The lighting is pretty different But some older versions had RT reflections :)
@SDexyt I think the vanilla models look better, so i optimized it for that use-case. Older Photonics versions used 3d models for all blocks, so it was optimized differently in the past
@SDexyt It's not optimized for that use case :(
@SDexyt This should work: discord.gg/dPP9TmVzAw
@SDexyt just join the Photonics Discord channel and look at the pinned message in "general-chat"
@SDexyt Yeah, many shaderpacks are pretty blurry because of TAA :( But early Photonics versions have a lot of noise
@SDexyt it's a very old version :) the newer ones all support BSL 8.2.09
Photonics 0.2.8 has just been released! Updates include: - 3D blocks are back! - Fixed light flickering issues - Updated to Iris 1.8.8 See more at modrinth.com/mod/photonics/…
Good news! We now have a Photonics-Community server, where we can discuss, share screenshots and hang out together! 😁 discord.gg/TTuQmFeFgG
@konomi1272 no, it also works with GTX cards
All our favorite Photonics feature will be back with release 0.2.8. ✨Voxel Blocks✨ Each block-type can individually be enabled and disabled for 3d-rendering
@SpaceLover2029 I know it looks pretty bad, I'm working on a new denoiser that will fix this light flickering issue 🙂
Now that Photonics has reached 500 followers, I want to take the opportunity to say: Thank you ❤️ The support and the positive feedback that you all are giving is the very thing that makes me want to continue working on this mod ❤️
@redbloodout45 there is a new download in version 0.2.7 called Photonics-0.2.7-nvidia. jar this should fix it
Those distant horizons look really cool 😉 New release coming soon
@ProSamsungfan Feel free to use it in your modpack. I would guess 1060 should be a minimum requirement, but I dont really know lol
I've finally sorted out the noise issue (the hardest part in every Pathtracer) and I have to say, that I am very pleased with the current state of the Mod: I'm planning on releasing the mod soon!
@Tbomb1337 Well, its all about trade-offs. I've left out a lot of visual features for better performance, that Rethinking Voxels (and similar) don't leave out. But I'm very glad you like it <3
@Tbomb1337 Thanks for the feedback. It is a known issue. If you encounter any more bugs, please report them on my Github repository, thanks! github.com/Redi2Go/Photon…
@AmrasAlcarin Yes, it's definitely the plan to add a screen, where you can configure which blocks are 3D. There will also be an option to make blocks emit shadows (like torches) or not (like redstone blocks)
