Call it compulsory, but I figured I enter onto this little trend. Somewhat related, I had a crackpot idea that the Pope would visit a civilization of creatures that recently erected a Cathedral. The creatures look like the gleep glorp aliens, but they are a little larger.

This girl got a Lewis Gun equipped for battle. She is part of an odd militia. A Slovenian rifleman, an English Colonel, a Welsh-German Pilot, an Australian-American, and a Argentine Afro-Italian composed the militia. Her? A Puerto Rican Syrian.

The plane managed to get upgraded. Turns out the white got minced pretty badly in a sudden squall. Landed smoothly, but all the 0.25 mm fabric bi-wings got minced. The cedar wings of similar thickness replaced the fabric ones and proved better for travel.
