Not a lot of news from the Dombrowski appearance on WIP. The most noteworthy bits: *Confirmed they made a big play for Yamamoto *No Painter pitching until '25 *Want to give young guys (Rojas/Kerkering/Sanchez) a chance for big roles from the start *Wants a Wheeler deal *Doesn't seem like Harper extension is coming soon
@JohnStolnis So running it back is definitely their plan
@EricDavies01 @JohnStolnis Of course. Would you blow up a team that was one win from the World Series?
@joekornik @JohnStolnis Wouldn’t blow it up but I would add to it. Every other contender is adding and improving. Would make sense to try and improve to keep pace. No?
@EricDavies01 @JohnStolnis Sure, but where? They have most positions locked up. And you can just as easily get a guy in June or July as you can now if a glaring need develops.
@joekornik @JohnStolnis They need another bat for the outfield and a closer and sp depth
@EricDavies01 @joekornik @JohnStolnis They're not gonna bring in any outfields until they give Rojas a full shot in spring training and your closer from here on out is Alvarado, he's earned the opportunity. SP depth is a concern but that's a concern for literally every single team. Quality SP depth is hard to find
@jw0728 @joekornik @JohnStolnis Agree to disagree. But I respect your opinions
@EricDavies01 @joekornik @JohnStolnis There's nothing to agree or disagree on I'm just giving you the straight up reality of what the team is and what it's going to be. What you want ain't happening and for good reason
