This is what the Jets wanted. Coaching staff, players, leadership. This is their core. This is their preferred lineup and pairings. They got their preferred adds at the trade deadline. And COL has taken it to them for 3 games straight, and now they're imploding. It's deserved.
Can complain about the penalties all we want (and trust me, it's deserved), but the same problems that haunted this team since Jan have reared its ugly head. Ineffective 1st line, bad special teams, stubbornness with lines/pairings and nowhere to go when things go wrong like this

People blaming Connor Hellebuyck as if this game wouldn't be 10-2 if anyone else was between the pipes.
I hate... HATE the Jets penalty kill They really need to look at special teams coaching this summer
If only they called the entire rulebook as consistent as they do for the "obvious" ones
For all the crap I give KC81, this is honestly the best I’ve seen him play for a stretch of time, for the record. I hate the “flip the switch” trope but it looks like he’s done it with regards to adding an element of physicality in his forecheck
88 back with 54 at least helps in creating a bit more speed and urgency in their breakouts but I honestly am not sure what their end goal is in the OZ with the top 6.
Credit to the Avs, they keep beating the Jets to the quality rebounds in both ends. No one on the 2nd line is getting to the slot area and whether it’s because 73 is injured or just is too slow on that line, it’s too easy to predict where they’re going. Same with 62, honestly.
