I think this was a real shock to many of us, and I've seen a lot of mixed reactions, but let me explain why I think this is overall a great change for the game. Nobody liked it when-
I really can't wait to see all the little Emoticons, as the ones in this render are already so cute! These combined with the new Quick Phrases will truly help to make Fall Guys a more interactive, community-driven place to hang out, especially with the 30 minute Course timers!💜
We also have brand new "Social Wheels" as MT calls them, seen here in the Fall Forever trailer, and this render. The blog only mentions two types, Emoticons and Quick Phrases, however keen-eyed beans have noticed that the Piggyback request key is one of the current Emote buttons!
In addition to just being such a Fall Guys feature, I can see various challenges, new ways to play, and more coming from this feature. You could use it to conserve tiles in Hex-a-Gone, help stuck beans in Explore, do challenges where you don't move, and so much more! I love it!😍
I've collected all the info I could on this feature, so here's what we know: - Both players have to agree to the Piggyback request - It doesn't slow you down at all - It will work in EVERY show at launch - You can dive-slide while doing it - Powerups will cancel out the Piggyback
Onto the next big thing, Piggybacking! This absolutely adorable feature provides no advantages or punishments, it's purely for fun! Whether it's messing around with friends, helping a poor stuck bean get past THAT section of a level, or just for the funnies, what a unique idea!
As one final note on Explore, all Rounds within the mode will be able to automatically detect changes to them and update accordingly, meaning Creators can make live changes based on feedback! If you're worried about trolls abusing this, MT still controls the version in Explore!🔥
I again have to compliment MT for just how much work they were willing to put in for Explore to be as polished as possible. Not just the rewards rewrite, but allowing players to be on different Rounds within the same LOBBY, with a built-in UI showing when it finds the next one!😍
There's even a fancy new UI popup for when you unlock rewards after completing a level, without you even having to go back to the lobby! I am curious if this will be applied to every Game (formerly Show) or if it'll be ONLY for Explore, but either way this is really appreciated!
This is something that's completely impossible in the current game without major backend changes to how rewards are actually calculated. Right now, the game ONLY grants rewards upon completion of the "show", but it appears in Explore it will grant them to you as each Round ends!
Explore is truly a mode unlike we've ever seen before, one that was carefully thought through and refined for the best play experience. You don't even have to worry about crashes or disconnects losing you tons of rewards, as the trailer shows your rewards are granted dynamically!
You also don't have to worry about waiting for the "noobeans" to finish the level, as you can simply move onto the next Round as soon as you finish! This, combined with the new 30 minute Course timers, will help players learn the levels WITHOUT the pressure of the lobby watching!
I also imagine that the algorithm can track how often a level is skipped, and make adjustments accordingly, perhaps making often-skipped levels hard to come across. After all, if everyone is skipping a level, that IS feedback that can be used to further improve the Explore mode!
And for those of you worried about another repeat of this Shuffle disaster, don't be, because MT has you covered! If you can't complete a level, or just don't enjoy it, you can simply use the skip feature to go straight to the next one! This is an absolutely amazing QoL feature!
The blog mentions that Explore's pool will be populated by an "ever evolving algorithm" instead of hand-picked levels, but there's special mention that they want brand new, never-before-seen levels to end up in this mode too, so new Creators will ALWAYS have a chance to be found!
-that I and so many others have had with both Discovery and the various Creative LTMs. Firstly, it has a near-infinite roundpool, pulling from what I imagine is Discover itself. The blog refers to it as "near-endless" levels, so I don't think it's literally EVERY Creative level!

First of all, I have to mention the handling of this situation with the update's delay. MT was kind enough to put a FREE cosmetic in the shop just to apologize for the extra week of delay, which they've NEVER done that I can recall. We all appreciate it, and the communication!💜
