Today we voted to take away a tool from the predators who prey on our children. Proud to co-sponsor HB 3.
Protecting children is a top concern of mine, as a mother and as Attorney General. I am so grateful to Speaker @Paul_Renner, @TylerSiroisHD51, @FionaForFlorida and @ErinGrall for their tireless efforts and relentless commitment to strengthening Florida laws to shield our kids from the harms of social media.
Social media companies have made BILLIONS by trapping kids and replacing parents. States around the country are fighting to deliver a solution that balances parental and constitutional rights and, most importantly, keeps our children safe. We believe we struck that balance.
If you read one thread of information today, this is the one. A monumental piece of legislation that will help to protect our youth. #FlaPol
HB 3 will empower parents to control what their children can access online while also protecting minors from the harm caused by addictive social media platforms.

This week, the Florida House of Representatives issued a detailed guide on HB1. The bill has passed in both the Florida House and Senate – and is now awaiting Governor DeSantis’ signature.
