Civilisation can only survive if it ruthlessly upholds its core values. High trust societies don't just happen. They evolve because initially overwhelming use of violence is the deterrent to barbarism. Societies then evolve to recognise concepts such as property rights and the public domain. If then, you open that society to third worldism in unsustainable numbers, with nothing approaching quality control, you have zero chance of maintaining civilisation. When the law of the jungle becomes the majority you're back to the use of overwhelming force. There will come a point when only violence can restore order.
There’s absolutely no way that consensus liberalism will counter the barbarism being inflicted on us. Liberalism was Europe’s response to all things from the pre war era including nationalism, social discipline, conservatism, prudent finance, family, Christianity and belief that all things from the old days are inherently bad.
@FUDdaily There has been a critical absence of competent leadership at every level, because most public service has been subverted since Blair. Once again Yuri Bezmenov explains how - from 1985: youtu.be/QfvXwuZ-bok
@FUDdaily High trust societies, enabled by the concept of property rights have barely existed in the entirety of human history. They are a resultant anomaly of a period of English history rather than a natural evolution that should be expected to happen within society.
@FUDdaily I implore you not to write such short posts!
@FUDdaily @lavatorypete It's the reason I had many arguments with other libertarians about open borders. It seemed to me the quickest way to extinguish any manifestation of liberty is to import millions of people who regard liberty as a sin.
@FUDdaily There is a reason why most Asian societies are high trust...and it isn't just culture
@FUDdaily A trickle might integrate but a flood will drown.
