Abyss Prince @FallenViator

. . . . I can't. ( His hostility quite suddenly drains away, replaced by exhaustion. ) . . . I don't want her to see me like this.

Lumine . . . ( Of course he hadn't forgotten her. Of course he wanted to see her again. To travel the stars again. There was nothing he wanted *more.* But . . . ) Could you do it? Could you look your brother in the eye right now, and pretend like *nothing* has changed?-

You think * I abandoned our homeland, then? ( A click of the tongue. ) You have a sister looking for you. You still have someplace to go. . . . You still / have / a home, Aether. ( And that home was never Khaenri'ah. It is true, for the Prince was but—

*On a hike* Hroptatyr: See, I told you this would be nice! Vedrfolnir: It’s beautiful out here. Dainsleif: And quiet. Rerir: Too quiet. Rhinedottir: Did we lose someone? *Cut to Surtalogi with a bear in a headlock*

I've never been to this restaurant before . . . Perhaps you could surprise me?

So *that's* why . . . . . . . Surtalogi, how could you do this?

I can't sit idly by while our people suffer and *rot.* I *will* bring Khaenri'ah back, and there is nothing you can do that will *ever* stop me.

And what would *you* have me do? Walk away from it all? Wander aimlessly for the rest of time, waiting for my mind to crumble under the weight of eternity? I'm not like *you,* Dainsleif. I can't just abandon our homeland because I once failed to save it. -

( His lips purse, and he sighs again. It is true that he remains forever in pursuit of the fallen kingdom's remains, but . . . ) Does it truly have to be this way?

you still feel something for the nation you abandoned, I would not turn you away.

If you would prefer I think of you as my enemy, I assure you that can be arranged. [ He paused, considering his words very carefully. ] . . . Suffice it to say I have little stake in your wild hunt one way or the other, but if you ever decide -

But I suppose I shouldn't be *too* surprised. You wouldn't be the type to disappear quietly, after all. Still though, piecing yourself back together is *quite* the impressive feat. But I digress . . . Welcome back, old friend.

You misunderstand, dear Rächer, your presence is not unwelcome at all! Merely . . . surprising. [ Well, not unwelcome for now, at least. However, if Rerir chose to stand in his way, things could become . . . complicated. ]

LG.✧ By the way, my DMs are open for plotting and scheming! :)

@rachersoInari I see . . . Well at least you're responsible!

@rachersoInari Well this is . . . quite the declaration? I never knew you were this invested in becoming a father . . .

. . . A reunion, huh? . . . Well as much fun as I'm sure a fight would be, I'm *far* more curious . . . Last I heard, you'd left the picture rather *permanently*. Fallen into the moon's reflection, wasn't it? So how *exactly* are you here?

LG.✧♥️for an interaction.

( He feels a pang of sadness. Or perhaps it's disappointment or even guilt. ) . . . Have you nothing else to say to me anymore?
