Which QB has attempted the most passes of 20 or more yards in the NFL according to PlayerProfiler? You guessed it....Mitch Trubisky.
The issue is Trubisky has only completed 7 of 22 attempts, making his completion percentage on these throws only 31.8%, 23rd in the NFL. And essentially all of them are outside the numbers, too.
@FarabaughFB Tomlin's lack of effort to find a suitable replacement QB in the years leading up to Roethlisberger's retirement is really hurting the team. Maybe Pickett will work out, but then again, he refuses to play him.
@FarabaughFB The term Mike Tomlin used for Mitch Trubisky was "Accurate Enough" is haunting him. Accuracy is either a vision issue, throwing mechanics issue and/or a mental block. Mechanics was called out in Chicago, not worked on. Takes months of non-pressure practice to fix. Ask Mason.
@FarabaughFB Half of these are YOLO balls down the sideline on third down. Technically, the attempts have been there, but it's about the situation and utilizing the whole field.
@FarabaughFB I just don’t get how we have MUTH and claypool and we’re not throwing very many passes to the seam. Or over the middle. Z
@FarabaughFB Tbh this makes me think it’s on Canada even more, while 23rd isn’t good, it’s still enough for this offense to look sooooo much better than it does, I just think he doesn’t know how to call plays to set other plays up or have good situational play calling
