Today I asked a question about this story, in which I mentioned Brexit & my guest then discussed Brexit. A few people tweeted eg 'Yet again no mention of Brexit'. Those tweets are now being RTd. 🤷♀️ bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politi…
@FelicityHannah Sick and tired of Brexit. People go on about Brexit like it will directly effect them for the better. Nothing has changed in my daily life for the better. The only thing I see is products cost more. Products are harder to find now too. My vehicle insurances have gone up.
@FelicityHannah It’s crackers. I couldn’t have been clearer (well within my own linguistic limitations!) that Brexit frictions are playing a role in reduced trade density.
@FelicityHannah The problem is, we’ve had several years of Brexit *not* being mentioned nearly as much as it should have been, that people now expect it not to be mentioned.
@FelicityHannah The divisions are so great and so ideologically driven now. Some supporters will be growing turnips in a waste land before they admit Brexit made things worse. For those on the other side not a single benefit, actual or potential, can be acknowledged. Deadlock.
@FelicityHannah Sure, but since we endured six years of dishonest, unprofessional, complicit BBC silence on the subject, while the Tories rammed thru a hard Brexit nobody voted for, please do cut us some slack.
@FelicityHannah Thank you for bringing up the B word that seems to have been so spectacularly banned these past few years. Fair play to you. There's a reason that you have credibility.
