Years of education, yet no one taught us how to console a grieving friend or what to say when someone we love is at their lowest.

I can’t believe the way @NandosSA treats their employees. A friend got awarded to go back to work from a ccma decision tomorrow and the decision was sent to her on the 16th but @NandosSA didn’t contact her until she asked what the plan is and they only sent a Reinstatement today

“Then Jacob made this vow: “If God will indeed be with me and protect me on this journey, and if he will provide me with food and clothing, and if I return safely to my father’s home, then the Lord will certainly be my God.” Genesis 28:20-21 NLT

One of the hardest truths to accept is that some people didn't accidentally hurt you. They knew what they were doing and did it anyway.

I don't ever let go. I don't move on. I still think about the people I've loved, hurt or who have hurt me. The people who just never responded. Every person is somehow interlinked to my thoughts and attached to my heart. Whether it be a song we used to enjoy together, our favorite restaurant or a common phrase. People are meant to leave marks on our hearts. But we decide whether those marks are painful or symbolise beautiful memories.

Nobody tells you how hard it is to rewire your brain so you can allow amazing things to happen to you after so much trauma or hurt. Blessings exist, good people exist, a softer life exists. Let it happen.

A rule that will improve your life: Never assume bad intent, but don’t ignore repeated patterns. Everyone gets grace. Nobody gets unlimited passes.

I don’t know about you, but I woke up with the faith of the woman who said, “If I can just touch the hem of His garment, I will be healed.” May we never underestimate what God can do when faith meets Him halfway🙌🏾🙌🏾
