Dido Harding. Some are born mediocre, some achieve mediocracy, and some have mediocracy thrust upon 'em. She's been put to the test and now there's NO trace.

Big thank you to all our members who have been responding to Shouts during Storm Dennis. Especially Control staff who have been been working hard during the mobilising system crashing.

Please donate if you can & RT A fellow Firefighters 13 year old son was violently attacked by a 30 year old male after a football match. Punched in the head from behind then kicked repeatedly whilst unconscious on the floor & fracturing his eye socket bit.ly/2TUvVpb

Never in my life, as an FBU official, as a Firefighter that goes to work because I enjoy helping people & making a difference, as a human, have I felt so angry, so disillusioned, bullied, lied to, yet so determined to rid the disease from the very service I love. #savesurreyseven

Solidarity with @SurreyFBU, who have been forced to take industrial action following proposed dangerous cuts to their Fire service.

🎄 Happy Christmas 🎄 to FBU members, to their friends and families & to trade unionists here & worldwide. Please think of those working over the holidays, including FBU members on fire stations and in fire controls. A special thought for FBU members in Surrey: Solidarity. 🎄

@MattWrack Thanks Matt. It's not a decision we take lightly. But enough is enough. Top down bullying will not be tolerated.

@SeanStarbuckFBU We do indeed Sean. We do not do this lightly or do it with a smile on our face. Our hand has been forced by a bullying management culture. We refuse to be intimidated. Where we go one, we go all.

This dispute is because of the constant attacks from Senior management and Surrey County Council, constantly undermining and under valuing their staff. We have had enough, and we will not be bullied by an Inept, and devide and conquer, toxic management culture.

***ACTION SHORT OF STRIKE*** To give the community clarity over what will happen to fire cover from 24th December at Woking Fire Station. We will still be available, as we are now. We are only withdrawing goodwill that we give to the fire service for free.
