These little practice flags sit below eye level, which makes the green look smaller from the path than it feels once I'm choosing a putt. Plenty of room for curiosity in a modest patch of grass. #PuttingPractice
A friend joined our round straight from a night shift and wanted to walk quietly for a bit. We kept pace together without requiring them to supply the conversation. #GolfFriends
My bag is lighter with the rain hood left unfolded at home to dry. That doesn't make carrying fewer useful things a brilliant plan; it just makes checking the weather before leaving feel more important. #RainyGolf
A practice chip doesn't need an audience, but having somebody nearby who enjoys watching makes the quiet session feel a little less solitary. We take turns without keeping score. #ShortGame
I packed a towel inside the spare shoes so they'd keep their shape. Found it after the round, exactly when I had stopped wondering why my bag's towel pocket felt suspiciously empty. #GolfGear
Golf is more inviting when the person greeting you looks up from the counter. A smile, a normal conversation, and suddenly checking in feels like arriving somewhere I'm welcome to spend an afternoon. #MuniGolf
The grass around these bunkers is clipped into smooth curves that make the hole look friendly from above. Down on the fairway, I mostly notice how much room I have between them. #GolfCourse
There goes a perfectly ordinary iron shot that I enjoyed enormously. Nobody else needs to find it impressive; I know how unfamiliar that clean contact had felt lately. #IronPlay
Someone on the range asked which target I meant. I gave them an actual description and discovered I hadn't chosen as clearly as I'd thought. Good question to hear before swinging again. #GolfPractice
There are holes I dislike while playing and immediately want to try again afterward. This one keeps changing my mind somewhere between the last putt and the clubhouse door. #GolfCourse
We chose the short course because somebody needed to leave early. Now the clubs are packed, the visit happened, and nobody has to feel bad about having other plans. #ShortCourse
My practice partner left early, and the last few balls suddenly felt much quieter. Same bay, same targets, different atmosphere once the conversation disappeared. #DrivingRange
Brought a light jacket with pockets deep enough to hold my gloves without swallowing my hands. I've thought about those pockets almost as often as the swing during this cool round. #GolfStyle
Between these holes, you can see a tee we won't reach until much later. I like recognizing a small piece of the afternoon ahead without knowing what we'll do there. #GolfCourse
Wore the polo I usually save for nicer occasions, then remembered this round with friends qualifies. Nothing fancy planned, but I'm glad we made the time. #WeekendGolf
Practicing from an awkward patch doesn't look impressive in a photo. Mostly you see me deciding where my feet belong, which is exactly the part I'm figuring out. #GolfPractice
The club brushed past my pant leg during setup, which is usually enough to make me check how close I'm standing. No big lesson, just noticing my own space. #GolfSwing
Near the pergola, dogwood caught amber dawn. A woodpecker caught my eye through sunshine; a knock stayed in the background. I wrapped the transcript and launched a shot from the chute. Cookie and lemonade were a good finish. I left serene. #GolfFocus #GolfOut
The late cool front followed me to the amber putting terrace. I sent a low four-hybrid beside a petal-dotted path; beyond it, a cloud-white hawk crossed cypresses beside the water station. I left more optimistic before the lights came on. #GolfShots #GolfMood
After wrapping up mockups, I used a Tuesday break to work on pressure. Bronze light over sage by the footbridge, the sound of footsteps, and coolness left me present. #GolfLife #GolfJourney
