Dog owners say fireworks should be banned because they are dangerous, yet there have been ZERO deaths from retail fireworks in the UK in 24 years. Over 500 deaths from dogs in 24 years. Maybe we should ban dog ownership instead? bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan…

Gone very quiet over at @fireworkreform hasn't it! No posts since the 3rd Jan despite them saying fireworks are a "year round warzone of non-stop fireworks" What a load of bullshit! They'll come out of hiding again in October I'm sure. Not heard a firework here since NYE.

Leeds on New Year's Eve. @fireworkreform are telling people that MOST want fireworks banned! 😂😂😂 I think this video and the hundreds of others on social media showing just some of the tens of millions of fireworks used this year suggests otherwise. The UK LOVES fireworks.

Can't wait for yet another (14 years now!) petition or campaign that falls flat on its face. Their demands are impossible to implement because they know fuck all about fireworks or the impact their demands would have on society. (Generally they would make matters worse for all)

More bullshit from @fireworkreform This display was cancelled due to bad weather and as part of their detailed risk assessment. And yes fireworks are unsafe in high winds, which is why this display was cancelled. Thick as a brick wall this lot.

London… wasn’t it marvellous? 🎆 Last night, our skies were lit up with a kaleidoscope of colours and glittering showers of light. Every year I’m completely astonished by how utterly mesmerising it is. There’s no doubt that these are the best NYE fireworks in the world.

Fireworks have been used in the UK for over 500 years in celebrations and events. It is a tradition enjoyed by tens of millions and will continue for many more years yet. She doesn't understand the point because she's a bit thick seemingly. #fireworklawchangenow won't work.
