#OnThisDay 1869: Architekt Eduard Riedel legt den Grundstein für Schloss Neuschwanstein. Der Bauherr, Bayerns König Ludwig II., wird das Schloss «im echten Styl der alten deutschen Ritterburgen» bis zu seinem Tod 1886 nur als Baustelle erleben.

Ve 22:45 bylo možné nad západním obzorem spatřit extrémně jasný meteor (bolid)!! V době exploze byl patrně jasnější, než Měsíc v úplňku a je reálná šance, že na zem dopadly i malé úlomky. Video od Dana Neumanna z Plzně.
