Congratulations to Ryan Swicea in the UAW Local 598 who is our 2024 Flint Soap Box Derby Champion! This year’s race was an overwhelming success because of our participants, volunteers, sponsors, and spectators who took part. We are so grateful for everyone involved!
WE ARE READY TO RACE!!! Tomorrow is going to be a great day in the City of Flint, and please join us at Chevy Commons at 9am. It is just beginning and we are racing ahead!
In remembrance of those who gave their all in service to our nation. In their honor, let’s commit to causes far greater than ourselves and service to others.
After five weeks of building together, all that’s left to do is race in the 2024 Flint Soap Box Derby! This is a program built by the commitment of our sponsors, volunteers and participants, who work tirelessly to make our events memorable. Please join us at Chevy Commons!
We only have one workshop left and then it’s race day! Our theme for this week is DETAIL, and we will complete our final tune-ups building together at the Flint Racer Space!
The start line is in sight, and we now only have one more workshop left! We are having plenty of fun each week and incredibly grateful for all the sponsors and volunteers that make this possible!
We are just two weeks from race day, with final assembly and practice to complete! This week’s theme is PREPARE, and we will get ready for race day with excitement at the Flint Racer Space!
Design reveal day is always one of the best moments of the year, and our cars now look phenomenal! Race Day is quickly approaching and we have more excitement and preparation ahead next week!
We have a great workshop planned for tomorrow, and we’ll reveal the completed shell designs for this year’s field - created entirely by each team! Our theme this week is ATTITUDE, and it’ll be a very fun day at the Flint Racer Space!
Our second workshop of the year is complete, and it was just as much fun as our first workshop five years ago! We’re one step closer to race day, and have more work to do next week when we unveil each team’s car design!
It’s the five year anniversary of our very first event as a renewed community tradition and we continue to build bigger! This week’s theme is BELIEVE, and the Flint Racer Space is set for another fun day of building!
We’ve completed the first step in the building process and we had a great first workshop! We’ll build even more next week as we get ready to race!
We have an exciting series of events leading up to our June 1 race day, beginning tomorrow with our first building workshop of the season! The Flint Racer Space will be filled with excitement as we kick off another year of building!
