The former guy is going to lose the election. Then the chickens will come home to roost. Most likely (hopefully) he will take himself out the same way his Fuhrer did at the end of WWII. It'd save us taxpayers $$$. If he doesn't, then I'm certain someone will get him.

As we do this time every year, my wife and I will drive around and distribute cotton beanies, gloves, and socks directly to the homeless in our community. We shun the shelters and charities; we prefer to immediately see the stuff get to where it's needed.

Well, today is Mother's Day. And you know what day it was 9 months ago? That's right, the 2nd Sunday in August is officially known as Mother F*cker's Day.

I have no inclination to watch the Memphis police brutality video. This is sensationalism at its worst. Police mentality at its worst, too. But there's no point in watching it over and over and over. Didn;t we learn anything from Rodney King?

RIP Jeff Beck. One of the best ever. He defied the rules of guitar-playing. Established his own brand of reckless abandon. Inspired me to go beyond the rules because rules in music exist to be either ignored or smashed.

My wife and I are driving around this week. Whenever we see a homeless encampment, we stop and give them hats, gloves, and socks to keep warm. Annual tradition, though it shouldn't be. In the land of plenty, there should be plenty to go around.

I just found the tweet that got my brother permanently suspended 2 1/2 years ago. It was an outburst brought on by the (then) latest mass shooting. It's still there, thankfully. As he has even fewer followers than I, it'll probably be there for quite some time.

Turkey Fry last night was a rousing success. In this, the 4th attempt, we finally achieved perfection. A beautifully golden, moist turkey; 13 1/2lb bird in 30min. A large part of the credit goes to my wife, who brined the turkey for a day in soy sauce, star anise, & cinnamon.

The late great Mr. Sillykittenz has been resurrected after a 3 1/2 year permanent suspension. Thanks for allowing some newer eyes to review the appeal. Merry Christmas!! Adopt a kitten or three this year!

My brother, The Late Great Mr. Sillykittenz, is returning to Twitter! His account had been permanently suspended for the last few years. But with a recent appeal to the folks at Twitter, that has now been lifted! He's not a bad cat. Maybe naughty at times. But not bad.

This just may be the year of the kitten. I am a strange soul. But not so strange, I've learned. Cats provide a unique kind of bond which I appreciate and have missed since F'Nesse passed a few years ago. Cat House On The Kings is a great place to donate. But adopt locally.

I'm slamming around with the bass guitar these days. Getting back to guitar pretty much the way I got to it back in the late 70's. Taught myself on acoustic guitar, moved over to bass, went back to guitar. Playing bass works the finger extensions more.
