The People’s President @bonifacemwangi

People coming out today is to remove the idea that politicians own us, it’s a demonstration that this moment belongs to us and it’s WE the People who tell the president what to do and not the other way round Secondly, the state has used fear by killing people on Tuesday and there should be a clear signal that speaking up shouldn’t be this costly. Those who were abducted, maimed and killed would otherwise have done so in vain. Ignore those bringing confusion, and most importantly telling you to Occupy State House. See you at parliament. #OccupyParliament #RejectFinanceBill2024 📸: @festolang

Rigathi Gachagua has blamed everyone but himself. He is grabbing the leadership of the protest and then saying that NIS is linking him to the protest.

Dear H.E. President William Ruto: Your Excellency, We’ve known each other & been friends since 1992! Many decades before all those surrounding you now had ever heard of you. Long before Gen Z were born. Those close to you now are Court Jesters: they will tell you what you want to hear because they are in it to enrich themselves. Before they joined your Government, their stomachs were small, they drove small cars, lived in humble estates & didn’t have money to speak about. Now, those close to you have hanging stomachs, wear designer clothes, drive big cars, have bought or built palatial homes, walk around with bundles of millions of shillings. The Youth are crying that those benefits are not trickling down to them. Many a leader lost power because Palace Advisers & Cronies lied to the leader that all was well. When the people of France kept complaining about hard economic times, Royal Advisers told King Louis XVI & Queen Marie Antoinette that all was well. The false advise ended with the execution of the King & Queen and ended the Bourbon Monarch. The youth demonstrating across the whole country simultaneously; an unparalleled action, are not mad. They say Voice of the People is the Voice of God. Listen to them. And cancel the entire Finance Bill You told me last year that after ten years, we will enjoy retirement in our City of Eldoret. I want you to retire that time with solid legacy. Please hearken to the cries of the youth … #RejectFinanceBill2024
