@JOukherfalla @Evie_KB_Writer @UnitedLearning Our schools must be inclusive and welcoming to those of all faiths and none - in many schools that means having a room that enables young people to attend school & satisfy the requirements of their faith. It says this is your place and you are welcome here.
Whatever you think about Holland Park's future, surely people like @H_P_S_Official board, leaders, staff, @hollandparkneu , @RBKC leaders like @lionhouse33, @StopTheMATness, @FormerHPS, @UnitedLearning should be able to see debate among DfE officials and elected advisers.
@HelenJosueUK @dianabarran @RD_SouthEast I don’t think these two events can be discussed in the same breath. I fear the council is trying to wash its hands clean from a disastrous dealing with the Grenfell catastrophe by window dressing support for hps “a community project”. So very different things! #justice4grenfell
@HelenJosueUK @StephenKruger17 @lanalon @StopTheMATness @antiacademies @JohnRoanResists @JonColes01 @UnitedLearning that's not very nice. mental illness is neither a joke nor something to be demonised & pseudo-'diagnosing' others is bad for mental health awareness. if you care about mental health please walk the walk.
Belated update but ICYMI: standard.co.uk/news/london/ho…
The most recent Ofsted report (the 'Inadequate' one) is available to read here: hollandparkschool.co.uk/assets/other-f…
New: Harris Federation have entered the race to take over Holland Park School - and the local council have offered a local school a £1m loan for a rival bid to fend off 'national MATs' schoolsweek.co.uk/holland-park-s…
@GjMellors @SamRobb34797357 I reached out to RBKC for very worrying safeguarding failure in 2019. They did nothing apart from leaking about me to the people I was accusing of the failure, who told me "I was being vocal". Some community, eh?
@SamRobb34797357 I’m so disappointed that Ofsted haven’t decided to have a proper examination of what went wrong in those previous inspections. Were they dazzled by the charisma? Blinded by preconceptions? This should have been something to learn from.
They left us to search for answers, they mocked us publicly. Now, they stand in the way of justice. We must pave a new way forward. We must hold those responsible to account. Stand with us tonight and #DemandCharges for our 72 loved ones.
#Grenfell claimed the lives of 18 innocent children who had their whole lives ahead of them but weren't given the chance to fulfil their dreams. Today & always we remember them; everything they were & everything they could have been. Carry you always 💚 #ForeverInOurHearts
Ofsted rated it outstanding in 2011 and 2014, and then praised it in 2020 when concerns were raised. Another report found they were misled in 2020, but they were warned that at the time before report came out. For whistleblowers I suspect this will feel too little, too late.
Holland Park School has been rated “inadequate” amid a scandal and row over its future, two years after being praised by Ofsted schoolsweek.co.uk/holland-park-i…
@Evie_KB_Writer @Penny_Ten I am so sorry Evie - no one’s school experience should be like this. As a parent I feel guilty that I didn’t call out loud enough when things didn’t feel right. We all owe you, and others like you, an apology. Wishing you every happiness.
@drjessm I’d like to understand what you mean as I’m not sure. Obviously this isn’t the only school that operates in ways that alienate and oppress. I was particularly struck by them saying “kids have to leave their home and culture at the school gate, it has no place here”
@VincentChaigne1 In my personal experience with the former Senior Leadership Team at Holland Park, inadequate HPS without the former SLT is a lot safer place than than the outstanding HPS with the former SLT. Ofsted has to elaborate how outstanding status was granted so blindly.
Ofsted said embattled academy Holland Park still has a “long way to go”, with “mistrust and disharmony” rife amid a row over joining United Learning schoolsweek.co.uk/holland-park-i…
@InsightSusie @StopTheMATness @stewharper @matrixchambers stop the matness don't speak for us here (or anywhere). we're happy with the report and couldn't care less about that ad (and we're the ones whose allegations it was actually about). the only disgusting thing is how they keep trying to poke holes for no good reason.
