ABS: Mind muscle connection is so important when it comes to abs if you want to see results, so focus on pulling yourself up by using your abs rather than your hips! (Spinal flexion rather than a hip hinge)
SINGLE ARM DB SNATCH: This is one of my favorite total body movements. When doing this exercise, make sure that it is one fluid motion and you don’t pause in the middle. Imagine you’re throwing the dumbbell up to the ceiling (obviously don’t actually let go of it) Give it a try!
Two things I can’t stress enough are BALANCE & MODERATION. The 80/20 rule allows me to live a balanced life. 80% of the time, I eat clean foods & work out, but with the other 20% I am able to fit in treats, rest days, & things that don’t necessarily follow the “fitness lifestyle”
Lack of motivation is something that everyone goes through, but there are ways to overcome it. Here are a few tips to get motivated! 1. Remember your “why” 2. Remember that it is a process. 3. Write down your goals and look at them often
Fitness shouldn’t be something that takes over your life, rather it should be something that compliments it This looks different for everybody. Some people love to lift weights (🙋🏽♀️) while other people like to run. Find what you enjoy and it will be much easier to stick with it
The exercise shown here is a single leg ECCENTRIC leg curl. Eccentric simply means the negative portion of the motion. By slowly lowering your leg down from the curl, you are increasing time under tension, which is critical for muscle growth and strength progression.
One of the most valuable things I’ve learned from lifting has been SELF-DISCIPLINE. It not only requires physical discipline, but also mental discipline. There are days where I’m not motivated to workout, but I push myself to do it because I know it’s the only way to get better

The tricep pushdown is a staple in most arm days because it’s simple and effective, yet it’s one of the most common exercises I see people performing wrong. When doing this movement, hinge at the elbows and only move the lower half of your arm—not your entire upper body.
One of the most common questions I get is, “how do you manage to workout almost everyday?” The simple answer to that is CONSISTENCY. The hardest part is starting, but once you make it a habit, it becomes routine. Make time for what’s important to you.

One thing I’m learning is the importance of training for longevity. You only get one body to last a lifetime, so it’s crucial to train in a way that will be sustainable long-term. Focus on doing what’s best for your body instead of your ego.
Add split squats to your next leg day! This is a killer exercise that targets your quads & glutes while challenging your balance. Be sure to step your foot out far enough so your knee doesn’t go over your toes. Focus on pushing through your heel to take pressure off of your knees

STRETCHING: It’s something that we all should do more of. Stretching is a huge component of proper recovery. Without stretching, muscles shorten and become tight, which leads to poor range of motion, weakness, and eventually injury Start with even as little as 5 minutes per day!
