Publication 🧵: Excited and proud to share that our work using deep network hallucination to scaffold an enzyme active site has been published (@ACSSynBio #EditorsChoice)! Dive in with us! 👇doi.org/10.1021/acssyn…
1/ 🚀 The journey began with a journal club (w/ @NstrupHansen, @CParsbaek) back in 2021, discussing a preprint on scaffolding protein motifs using deep network hallucination. Inspired, I grabbed a new SSD and transformed my (@CounterStrike @nvidia) PC into a research instrument!
@FrederikTheisen @ACSSynBio Hi Frederik! Nice work, I would really like to discuss it at our journal club tomorrow. Unfortunately PDB files are still inaccessible (embargoed). Could you maybe provide the files or contact PDB servers? That would be awesome! Thanks
@FrederikTheisen @ACSSynBio Given that the engineered variants are inactive, could you please explain to a non ML-person the significance of this work? Hasn't scaffolding using generative models been done before using hallucinations + ProteinMPNN etc to develop new functional proteins? (e.g. binders, etc)
