Having fun using basic HTML coding and notepad this morning. I think it would be great if we can teach students how to use computer language at an early age. So many parallels to language arts and math.

I enjoyed helping a teacher bring back life to their 9 year-old iMac today. They now have an SSD, 8 GB Ram, & Windows 10 running well on their iMac. I can’t wait to teach 6th grade students how to upgrade computers next year.

As I am rewiring my home & running networking cable I realized how great it would be if we taught our students networking skills. I definitely want to try and incorporate these skills into the classroom in the future.

A student in class today learned how to use machine oil to fix the stuck gears in their Xbox disc drive & bring back life to the drive. I am really proud of the student’s determination & problem solving skills. @GCSS_GMS

The coolest thing happened in class today. My students know I have been studying for an upcoming exam. They randomly picked up my review guide off my desk and helped me prepare for the test. They quizzed me while I was teaching and helping students. Our students are truly awesome

I think it’s awesome I can upgrade my classroom computers & turn them into fast computers for student use. Students will have a better learning experience on the computers now. The @iFixit kit allows me to easily take apart a PC in seconds & it’s my favorite tool kit!l

So happy I was able to take apart the computer, upgrade the RAM & hard drive, & and deploy a new image for the front office employee at @GCSS_GMS. They now have a computer that runs quick and effectively.

My 4 year old found this awesome 3D dinosaur puzzle at a consignment sale. I can’t wait to challenge our @GCSS_GMS STEAM students with recreating this puzzle with @Onshape & use our system 3D printers & laser cutters to make fossil kits for students! @Makerspaces_com

6th grade STEAM students were able to remake a wooden snowflake puzzle in @Onshape in 2 days! They can almost recreate anything I challenge them with in a few days. @GCSS_GMS @Makerspaces_com

I truly work in the greatest school system. How amazing is it that students have the opportunity to learn how to be creative, use technology to produce their own products, learn how to apply their academic knowledge in real world applications, & have fun! @GCSSK12 @GCSS_GMS

iMovie never seems to stop amazing me @AppleEDU. The new teacher had several issues with their iPhone video being flipped upside down & iMovie was super easy at correcting the issue. Now the new teacher will be able to use their classroom video footage for their edTPA!

It’s amazing to see 6th grade students who were able to recreate a cellphone stand from scratch with digital calipers & @Onshape in 1 hour! These students have definitely mastered dimensioning, x & y coordinates, and basic @Onshape CAD skills.

It’s awesome to see @GCSS_GMS students be able to independently reverse engineer and recreate a cell phone stand for themselves. They are able to use their @Onshape CAD skills & knowledge of math coordinates, angles, & measurement skills to recreate a product. @Makerspaces_com

It’s amazing to see how technology can be used to further your ability to provide meaningful instruction. Used a drone to analyze stoke development, court positioning, and open court placement opportunities.
