OK fellas, we're back. See announcement for further details. Cheers!
We are back. Backing everything up now.
Going to round up anything important I can find and send it down into the backup drives in the bunker.
Rebooting a few times brought us back, which points to dodgy hard drive.
Looks like a hardware failure! May be down for a day. Sorry chaps. Going to try and get a rescue interface working and run some diagnostics.
Server appears to have gone down. I am investigating.
I'm glad to say that grcade.co.uk is back up - no need to use the temp URL any more. Thanks again everyone, you've been great! <3
@dancrobbo Thanks, don't worry, I'm just working - very hard to get these things right first time - should be fixed :-)
@leehunteruk Sorry, I literally just woke up, still knackered; obviously I didn't mean "PM me on the board". I follow you now so PM me here.
@leehunteruk Why do you always need to reset your password? Just DM me your desired password here, or PM me on the board.
@Nimmo1492 Working on it. We had a mishap installing the new theme. Sorry!
P.S. I am restoring our avatars and smilies now!
We're up again at the same link, bast.cowg.co.uk/phpbb/. Teething pains should be fixed. (Please RT!)
@cheekydevlin Pretty much. I took an M.Sc. module in database management last term; my professor would not approve. Still, it works!
Update: In a strange turn of events, my hack seems to have worked and not fucked everything up. More news soon.
@pyxl_8 Because if I fuck up here we'll have to do the search indices again...
@pyxl_8 No, I disabled that mod. Bear with me, I've identified the problem, I'm just thinking about the safest way to fix it.
Ah, I think I see the problem. Upgrade process left us without a column we need in the "topics" table of the database.
