Sharp morning. Went to Nottingham with horse & steers & got a load of wood. Hard sledding coming down. Got a load of wood from the pasture
Cloudy & cold out. Geo. & I cut wood at the door. At night, went down to Geo. Durgin's with Frank Lang & stayed in the evening. It snowed
Cold out. Cut wood round the door. At night went up to Nottingham centre to a Levee. Not a great many out. Had singing &c. Fine evening
Fair day. At home & cut wood at the door. I went down to Carswell's & hauled some rocks from the pasture to put under his building.
Fine morning. Frank & I and Jenni went to meeting. Wm. Southerland preached. James Palmer talked. A fine evening--quite a number out.
Cloudy & warm. Jenni came to Newmarket with Rebecca & she took the cars for Alton & we cam home. It rained in the afternoon.
Cloudy day. Jenni, Rebecca Davis & I went to Newmarket & I sold at auction in the N.H. Harvey store. Sold groceries, etc. Stayed all night
Pleasant. I went before the Grand Jury in Dover & got Charles W. Butman indicted for stealing money from me. Stayed at the N.H. House.
Cold morning. Went to Newmarket put up my horse in John Smart's stable & took the 9 3/4 clock train to Dover & saw J. G. Hall & came home.
Cold & windy. Frank Lawrence came with a pair of oxen & I went as far as Carswell's with him. Chas. Allen's horse fell down on the hill.
Rained some. Went over to Epping & summoned W. H. Dow & Henry S. Leach to appear in Dover the 12th inst. Came back to Weems' & took dinner
Fine day. Went to Newmarket. Willie went with me. Saw John Smart & N. H. Harvey. Got home about noon. Cut & hauled wood from the pasture.
Fine day. Came from Nottingham with a load of wood. Went down in the pasture & cut a load of wood. Went to the meeting house in the eve.
Afternoon went to Nottingham & broke through awful deep snow at the old place. Mr. Huckins came along. Cut some wood at the door. Fine eve
Warm. Went to Newmarket. Saw John Smart & got home at noon. Afternoon hauled some pine wood from the pasture. Snow deep down there.
Pleasant Day. Round Newmarket a while & then went up as far as Widow Dame on Packers Falls road & then went home. Rained at night.
Warm & S. wind. Went peddling over by Jona. Cartland's. Went down the hook road & down to Newmarket & put up my horse at Bennett's stable.
Cold sharp morning. Came over round the Post Office & out to Dr. Bartlett's & took dinner. Then came to Newmarket & came home.
Awful cold day. Went down as far as Greenland parade. Took dinner at Geo. W. Brackett's. Awful cold night. Thermometer at 15 below zero.
Moderate but raw air. Went peddling down by Newmarket. Took dinner at James Monroe & then round the village awhile & over by the junction.
