TOKEN2049 Singapore 🇸🇬 This year: Bitcoin 2026 in Vegas, Bitcoin Asia in Hong Kong, and now TOKEN2049 Singapore. My takeaway: Vegas feels American, HK feels Asian, while Singapore is where East meets West. Bitcoin, crypto, AI & compute are converging.

The workflow is almost identical: Secure cheap, reliable power → acquire land & permits → build infrastructure → deploy hardware → operate at scale → turn compute into cash flow. The biggest change? ASICs → GPUs.

This is the bigger trend I’m watching: China’s AI compute story may not simply be about bringing more GPUs into China. Chinese demand + Chinese capital + Chinese operating expertise may increasingly deploy compute globally. Compute is becoming a global asset class.

Long-term B300 rental quotes I’m seeing in China are around RMB 320K/month. At RMB 15–16M per system, simple payback is roughly 4 years — before power, operations, financing and depreciation. Overseas, some project models I’m seeing target roughly 12–18 months. That gap matters.

Here’s a China compute market signal worth watching: NVIDIA B300 systems in China are being quoted at around RMB 15–16M through limited supply channels. Overseas, comparable acquisition costs can be closer to RMB 4M. Same generation of compute. Very different economics. 🧵
